Wheel Refurbishment Paints - RIMCO
Companies that paint/refurbish aluminum wheels are increasingly demanding about the paint coatings used on aluminum wheels. What matters is not only the beautiful appearance of the details but also high mechanical resistance and resistance to environmental factors (UV, humidity, salt, or automotive chemicals).
In response to market needs, we introduce the professional RIMCO system for painting/refurbishing aluminum wheels. This is a vertical system consisting of applying three layers of paint on a mechanically (glass-blasted, sand-blasted) or chemically pre-prepared aluminum wheel. Each layer has specific properties, ensuring appropriate characteristics for the entire coating. This system operates globally and has been tested by the world's leading aluminum wheel manufacturers. The RIMCO brand has been available from FarCo Sp. z o.o. since December 2019, and all products are manufactured by FreiLacke, a world leader in the production of paint coatings for aluminum wheels.
This technology also works very well for refurbishing light alloy wheels, as confirmed by its popularity in Europe, for example in the UK. Visual effects are provided by liquid-based paint, requiring both powder and liquid paint stations. An oven for heating the details is also necessary, as liquid paints require thermal curing at temperatures of 150 to 170 degrees C. The base is a powder paint with specialized properties, based on a mixture of epoxy and polyester resins. The next layer, giving the appearance of a painted rim, is applied in liquid form and cured in the oven. The final layer is a clear varnish, which mainly serves a protective function and can be applied in either liquid or powder form. The properties of the individual layers ensure trouble-free application, adhesion, and compatibility with the next layer. The entire system guarantees excellent visual effects and complete mechanical and anti-corrosion protection. Moreover, compared to the typical two- or three-layer powder coating, often used on the market, this proposal proves competitive in terms of economy and aesthetics.
